Medical and Funeral Expenses for Katie Richins

On Saturday, August 17th,  one week after getting her driver’s license, Katie Richins was involved in a serious car accident. Katie has been in critical condition in the ICU at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and we have learned that Katie’s injuries are not survivable. We are absolutely heartbroken, as Katie had been such an incredible part of all of our lives. I have created this page, hoping to relieve some of the associated financial burden, so that Katie’s family can take time to grieve and heal without added stressors. The money that we raise will go towards Katie’s medical and funeral expenses. Unfortunately, the rest of the world doesn’t stop when tragedy strikes, so any additional money will go towards helping her family with bills and daily expenses that might be adding up while they are out of work. 

Katie had so much love to give, and she never held that back. Katie filled every room with kindness, love, and positive energy. She had the incredible ability to overlook anyone’s flaws and always offered kind words and encouragement. Our world is a bit dimmer without her in it, but we find peace in knowing that this is not the last time that we will see Katie. We appreciate any and all donations that you can give to help Katie’s family at this time.
