Medical and Funeral Expenses for Meadow Manning
Donation protected
Noah Manning and Leahnora Manning’s little girl Meadow, lost her battle with lung disease on Sunday 3 days shy of her second birthday.
4/19/21-4/16/23
Meadow, was born with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. Basically, she was born with only 30% total lung volume. This is because, while in utero, her stomach, spleen, intestines and liver migrated into her chest cavity. These vital organs took up the place where her lungs should have been. She survived birth after being given only a 5% chance.
Noah Manning and Leahnora Manning moved to Florida temporarily from
California while 34 weeks pregnant to have Dr Kay, a world renowned surgeon fix her lungs and gave the baby 95% chance of survival. He saved her life and they stayed for 6 months while she grew stronger by the day until they moved back to California with twin Forrest and her 4 year old brother River
Weeks later, back in San Diego, she immediately went to a local emergency room where she stayed hospitalized for 3 weeks in November, one month in December, again in March and June last year, and January and February 2023. Even with some small help from various organizations; The expenses have been significant and they made just enough money so they did not qualify for the level of help to offset their expenses. Needless to say it’s been hard to keep the family afloat with the medical expenses consuming a 3rd of third of their income with Leahnora staying at home providing round the clock nursing support.
If that wasn’t enough, Meadows twin Brother Forrest was hospitalized 3 times for seizures in 2022/2023 And had to complete many rounds of invasive treatment which the cost alone was the high 5 figures. Unfortunately, he did not qualify for any medical assistance.
Noah and Leahnora faced the worse thing any parent could imagine.
They thought she was as healthy as ever. She even crawled for the very first time!! But, Sadly, on Sunday April 16, 2023, just 3 days shy of her 2nd birthday, she passed away in the early hours in her sleep due to lung failure. Her little body couldn’t take it anymore. They are beyond devastated.
We are reaching out to our real estate community, friends and family and anyone that can give. This is not really enough to cover the current debt and expenses they face so if we exceed the goal, all the better. Noah is the sole income earner and is a licensed real estate agent. If he doesn’t work, he doesn’t get paid. With the last 2 years of caring for the twins and now this, the family has been hit hard. Please give as much as you are able.
Thank you for your support and love.
