To know Jen, is to love Jen. As many of you know, she has been struggling for some time with her health. Jen noticed some health changes in 2014, but it wasn't until April of 2019, 2 weeks after the passing of her beloved mother, that she was diagnosed with Gastropareisis.
Gastropareisis is almost the paralysis of the stomach. Jen struggles daily to intake just the small about of nutrition. She currently has 2 Mic-Key ports, tubing, and a j-port. She also receives fluids daily via IV to prevent dehydration.
The Gastropareisis has wreaked havoc on her overall health. She is now suffering severe caloric malnutrition, blood clots, dehydration, orthostatic hypo-tension, and the worst, sepsis.
Jen has two upcoming surgeries to place a port, and to remove the lower portion of her stomach.
With all this said, insurance has decided to DENY all home healthcare supplies. Her nutritional items, which she needs to survive, are also needing to be paid up front and out of pocket.
Jen is a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister... the list goes on and on.
