Medical expenses for Darrin (Dj) Woods

Hello, my name is Ashley Woods. On new years, My husband Darrin Woods (DJ) was shot approx. 12 times while trying to cross the street. This was a senseless, and devastating act of violence that has left his life, my life, our 5 children lives as well as his family lives in shambles. To know Dj is to love Dj. He is a very loving, caring, funny man and active father, who has overcame a lot of obstacles in this lifetime alone. Darrin is a strong man and advocating role model for his children and nieces and nephews. All praise to the most high, Darrin has survived and is surviving. Since being shot, Darrin has had countless surgeries and procedures to his liver, abdomen, stomach and leg. The extent of the damage has left Darrin with long term injuries preventing him from returning to work any time soon. Unfortunately at the time of this incident, he was also not covered under medical insurance. All of the supplies, after-care and physical therapy needed, future surgeries/procedures he has scheduled and $400,000 and counting in hospital bills will have to be paid out of pocket. He as well was the only one employed at the time of this incident, leaving no steady income to a family of 7. As you can imagine his recovery has been hard and will be a long process.. We are asking for help to raise money to insure he is able to continue a comfortable recovery and get all the necessary care and supplies he needs, as well as to provide basic necessities to our family helping us to get back to an, as close to normal, life as possible.
