Medical and Living expenses for Janice Rivera

Hi sweet friends and family,

As some of you may know, our sweet mama was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma a couple of weeks ago. This is an aggressive form of cancer that affects the bones and organs if not treated fast enough. This has been a lot for all of us to swallow, especially considering the healing journey we have been on since experiencing the loss of our father a few years back. But we still have so much hope for our mom's future and her recovery.

This journey to recovery unfortunately comes with a nasty price. Medical bills are going to be a heavy burden and living expenses show no mercy to the sick. Due to her fragile state, it is more than likely she will not be able to work full-time, if at all, during this process. If you know my mom, having to rely on other people is already a mental struggle because she is the definition of a hard-working lady. This reality is not an easy one for her to come to terms with, but she is also a huge believer that God is in control and has faith that he will provide.

Everyone knows her as the lady with the pink lipstick. She is known as the founder of The Pink Society - a group in which so many women have been encouraged to be themselves. It has always been her goal to empower women and she never fails to do so.

We as her children, however, know her as the single mom who always managed to go above and beyond to keep a roof over our heads. The one who taught us to never stop trusting. The one who has always pushed through even when it was hard to keep going because she knew we needed her. Now she needs us. Our mom is our world. She is everything we strive to be and we won't give up until she is taken care of.

So please, if you feel willing to give, that would mean the world. Prayers and uplifting words are also a great alternative even if giving is not an option. This is a hard time for a lot of people so no judgment here <3 We are fully believing in her recovery and that she is going to beat this.

Our sweet Pink Lady will get through this. Thank you to everyone who has helped bring meals and been there for emotional support. We love you all.
