Medical and Other Expenses for the Ayers Family

Zach and Lindsay welcomed baby Hudson into their lives while on a short family vacation in Jacksonville, Florida when Lindsay was only 26 weeks pregnant. Sweet Hudson weighed 1lb 14oz at birth and was only 13" long! He is considered a micro-preemie and will be in the NICU until closer to his due date, likely sometime in August. Hudson will be in the Jacksonville, FL NICU until he is stable enough to be transported back to Athens where he will remain in the NICU at Piedmont until he can come home. So many people have asked Zach and Lindsay how they can help, for which they are so grateful! A huge way to support them is through prayer for Hudson to continue to do well and stabilize enough for them to transfer him back to Athens. Another big way to help them is with all the unexpected financial costs of Hudson arriving so early and in a different state. Their financial expenses change week to week based on needs but some examples of ways this GoFundMe will help them financially is:
- All of the medical costs associated with Hudson's very long NICU stay in Jacksonville and in Athens as well as transport costs of bringing him back to Athens
- Travel expenses for the Ayers as they travel back and forth from Jacksonville to Athens during Hudson's time in Jacksonville (gas, flights, etc.)
- Food and other costs of living for them in Jacksonville as well as when they return to Athens and are back and forth from the NICU there
- Other unexpected costs that will come up as they care for their family in this time.
