Medical and travel cost for Gary and his family

My name is Amanda I am Gary's oldest daughter.

As many of you probably know my dad has been diagnosed with bile duct cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma in November 2020.

And he currently is in the hospital in Columbus at the James cancer center at this time.

He first went into the hospital as of December 6th 2021 due to the tumor was pushing on his bile ducts which lead to him needing a drain tube to drain the bile .

From there he has been septic , gotten covid and multiple other infections and complications that have kept him in the hospital or at a skilled nursing facility going on four months this month.

He did come home for 3 to 4 days in January but because of an infection he had to return to the hospital.

Never in our wildest dreams did we expect his hospital stay in December turn into a so far four month roller-coaster of emotions. Not having him home has been very difficult for my family and I as well as himself.

Along with all the emotions of watching dad go through so much pain and struggles to get home. I have seen the stresses it has been doing to my mother watching the love of her life go through so many procedures and pain and not know when he will come home and the struggle of taking off work to drive 2 hours to and from the hospital to visit him as much as financially and physically possible.

Along with travel expenses of gas , parking and food that she and the rest of my family have she has to worry about everyday we go to visit dad. She also has to figure out boarding her dogs, staying in a hotel and taking multiple days off work . Along with any medical expenses that will be sent their way.

I am mostly asking for prayers that my dad beats this cancer and these infections that are currently keeping him hospitalized.

If you are able to and willing you may donate to this to help my family with expenses that are going along with my dads hospital stays such as travel and medical expenses.

Anything will help ease the stress for my mom and dad especially so she and my family can be there with him as much has possible. I know I put a certain goal to meet but honestly I have no idea how much is needed .
