financial help for Tonya Thompson

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alisha Stolz. I am Tonya Thompson's daughter-in-law.
Tonya was recently diagnosed with terminal stage 4 ovarian cancer.
She is in the process of getting a full workup so we can figure out the best treatment options for her but Tonya is unable to work at this time due to constant pain and symptoms. She is having a hard time eating causing weight loss as well as lowered kidney function.

Today, 6/3/2023 she is in the hospital overnight for uncontrollable pain again.

My father-in-law Joe is currently unable to work as he is Tonya's sole caregiver.
At this moment we are trying to figure out how to cover bills until he is able to work again and travel expenses because her oncology team is located in Bloomington, IL about an hour away, making transportation more difficult.

In an effort to make this journey easier for her and our family, I am asking for help with medical bills, medication costs, and transportation cost assistance.
She recently had a week-long stay between OSF and Methodist for uncontrolled symptoms and a biopsy, one of many we will have to navigate in the coming weeks.
We are trying to raise $5,000 to help with costs to lift some of the financial burdens off of her and Joe so they can focus on treatment, quality time with their family, and quality care so that Tonya receives the best we can offer her.

Tonya has always been a hard-working mother, grandmother, and friend, willing to help anyone in need, and putting others before herself. She has 3 children, Sean, Nichole, and Gabe, as well as 5 grandchildren Cory, Brody, Silas, Kobe, and Emilia all of whom she adores. She can be the life of the party, always putting a smile on your face. so many know the beautiful soul she is throughout our hometown and her work as a care companion. She lived with us for a year after our son was born helping us maintain our home and watching our son while we both worked full-time which was a blessing. She has done so much for those around her we just want to do as much as we can for her.

Meal donations are also appreciated at this time so there is one less thing for them to maintain during this unexpected life-altering situation.
I (Alisha) can be contacted via Facebook messenger by anyone willing to help outside of gofundme. please set the bar to zero for tips to gofundme so we can get the maximum amount when cashed out.

I will update everyone as we know more.
