Medical Bed for Mike Burgos

Hi! This fundraising effort is for the purpose of buying a medical bed with a supportive mattress for Michael Burgos.

Mike is a great family man and was very active in the community before he had an accident that resulted in his being quadriplegic. Mike did a lot of volunteer work as an officer of his local Lions club. He is also an active member of his church, where he sings in the choir and serves in various capacities.

Furthermore, he believes in "Paying it forward," so through the years, has actually financially supported family and non-family members, some of which were sent to school until they graduated.

Because he is paralyzed from the neck down, he is unable to move and is bed-/chair-bound making him susceptible to bed sores. We are hoping that a medical-grade bed with the right supportive surface can help prevent skin ulcers that can have other medical complications like sepsis!
