Medical Bill for Fred "Teddy" Upshaw

Hi, my name is Krista McKinney and I am fundraising for The Upshaw Family. In March of 2023 Fred “Teddy” Upshaw was hospitalized with complications from diabetes. While in the hospital, he lost feeling in his legs and required emergency spinal surgery, which left him unable to sit or stand on his own. Since then, he has been transferred between the hospital and rehabilitation centers. Unfortunately, the family has reached the maximum coverage on their insurance, and he will be coming home unable to care for himself. Once he is rehabilitated, he also faces undergoing heart surgery.

Fred has a wife, Erin, and 2 children under the age of 10, Preston & Addison. These past 6 months have been very trying on Erin, as she has been working full-time, while caring for the children and making sure the family is able to visit him as often as possible to lift his spirits. Any amount, no matter how big or small will help with Teddy's care at home.
