Medical Bills and COBRA Costs

Michael & I have been struggling financially while we work through the process of me getting on disability, I have a court date at the end of the month and it could be three months or more before I get the judge's decision and there is no gaurantee I win. My getting sick and hospitalized for 23 days did not help matters, but we have tried to sell stuff we don't need anymore, and Michael has been picking up side projects when possible. Whem Michael changed jobs we knew we had to COBRA his insurance as I had reached my out of pocket max and we knew there would be a lot more medical expenses as I started my recovery at home. My oxygenator has raised our electric bill substantially. After exploring all our options, we have found that continuing COBRA through December would be our best option, but the question is how. Serveral frieds have suggested we give this a try so we are. It is very hard for us to do this as we are people who prefer to help others, not ask for help.
