Medical Bills and Legal Matters

Hi, my name is Shyann and I’m fundraising for my fiancé Amber. Amber had a tonsillectomy on Tuesday, October 11th. Wednesday night at about 8pm she started profusely vomiting blood. She was taken to the nearest hospital by ambulance and I followed. When I got there, I asked to see her. I gave her name and said my fiancé was just brought in. She kept referring to my fiancé as a he even though I kept telling her she is a woman. She asked me to wait and give them time to put her in a gown. I waited and went back to check 29 minutes later. She huffed and puffed and said “maim you we’re just up here a few minutes ago. You can’t see him yet.” I again said she and told her 29 minutes is not just a few minutes. I tried talking to the security guards and they weren’t any help. As soon as the lady saw me talking to them she brought me back to see Amber. After I told the lady what I thought about how I’d been treated, I sat with Amber. We sat for 4 hours without anyone coming to see her. When someone did come they didn’t give us any answers and sent us home.

As soon as we got home she started throwing up blood again. The paramedics were called again and she was brought to another hospital where we figured out she had a tonsillectomy hemorrhage and needed emergency surgery. We were up all night and she was in so much pain. We didn’t get back home until about 8 the next morning. We would like to pursue legal matters against the hospital that sent us home where she could have bled to death. They were rude and not compassionate. We are needing help with medical bills also because Amber will be out of work for a while. Anything you can give will help and we are so thankful.
