Medical bills for baby Jonah

Our beautiful niece, Desiree, recently gave birth to her third child, baby Jonah, on February 10, which also happens to be Desiree's birthday. While things initially looked great and they were discharged home, Jonah began getting sick in the days following delivery. By the time two weeks had passed, Jonah was admitted to the hospital with influenza and 2 bacterial infections of the streptococcus variant, including sepsis. His oxygen levels are being closely monitored and he is on 24/7 care by the level IV NICU. Desiree is recovering from childbirth, but has not left her baby's side.

Desiree and her husband, Joe, also have 2.5 year old twins at home. Joe has been back and forth to the hospital everyday while trying to keep things on track at home. It's a trying time for this young family. While Jonah's prognosis remains hopeful, it is expected that he'll be in the hospital for at least another 10-15 days. The family has medical insurance but their hospital deductible is $10,000. That deductible coupled with the non-covered medical expenses will be financially devastating to this young family. We're raising funds to help with the hospital bills for Jonah’s unexpected hospitalization so this young family isn't crippled by medical debt. All donations and prayers are greatly appreciated.
