Medical Bills for BAFD Batallion Chief Roberts

Anyone who knows the Roberts family knows how giving and selfless they are. They would never ask for anything at all but are always the first in line to help others. It’s now our turn to love on them and give back! ❤️❤️❤️

Jeremy was in the ER last Friday (8/25) with what initially appeared to be heat exhaustion. After receiving treatment in the ER, he was sent home only to have an increased severity of symptoms on Saturday (8/26). Jeremy was sent by his first responder BAFD crew by ambulance to the hospital again and was admitted. After many tests, it was determined he was positive for strep, mono and was in the beginning stages of sepsis. He was moved into the ICU on Sunday (8/27) to receive massive doses of antibiotics to help stop the infections from spreading into his heart, which was a main concern for his medical team due to a full valve replacement he experienced 8 years ago.

Jeremys labs have begun to improve little by little over this week, but the infections have taken a toll on him. He has battled extreme fatigue and weakness, no appetite and fever. He was reduced to a regular room on Friday (9/1) only to return back to the ICU (9/2) when his fever spiked again and his breathing became labored.

Jeremy and his family and friends believe in the awesome power of prayer and know that the Great Physician controls all things. They have continued to praise God through this storm and are relying on Him and countless prayer warriors to lift them up.

Jeremy has the sweetest wife and three kids and they are all missing the time with their dad. Everyone knows medical bills are very high these days and with multiple days in the ICU, many CT scans and heart procedures, this is a very expensive stay for him. We want to show our love and gratitude by helping reduce this cost for them. Even the smallest donation will make a huge difference!
