Medical Bills for Yoshi Corgi

UPDATE: After being hospitalized and getting IV fluids for hours Yoshi’s newest xray showed that the blockage appears to have been digested enough to pass through his digestive tract. We were able to bring our precious boy home and to say we are relieved to not have to resort to surgery is an understatement. We will continue to monitor Yoshi for the next week to ensure he is going to the bathroom as normal and no further complications arise. I knew we had such wonderful friends and family, but to see the outpour of support for Yoshi has been truly overwhelming. We appreciate every single person from the bottom of our heart and being able to alleviate some financial stress to focus on getting him the best care available has been a true blessing. Hi my name is Breanna, I have had the absolute privilege of having Yoshi as my best friend and companion for over 2 years. We had recently taken Yoshi to do his favorite thing- swim. Afterwards we noticed he had diarrhea and had vomited. We were worried he had ingested too much saltwater and we took him to urgent care where they rehydrated him. A compulsory xray however showed a concerning blockage in his instestines. We took Yoshi home and monitored him over night and returned to the emergency vet this morning hoping the blockage showed movement which meant he could probably pass it on his own. Unfortunately this was not the case. The new xray revealed the blockage was still present and we had to leave Yoshi at the emergency vet to be monitored and hospitalized as they attempt to get the blockage out. If this is unsuccessful he will require surgery. This kind of surgery is extremely dangerous for dogs and right now we are hoping it does not come to this.

There is no price tag I can ever put on Yoshi. I have never felt love like the one I felt the moment I laid eyes on him. I hate having to even do this but I am hoping to get some help to cover his existing medical bills. With surgery this amount will be even larger so anything really helps. Id love to be able to focus my attention and concern on Yoshi’s health and recovery instead of on how to pay to keep my baby here with me as long as possible.
