Medical & Bills Help for Rare Diagnosis

Hi, my name is Lauren and I was diagnosed with Functional Tic Disorder (FTD) fall 2023. This is an extremely rare and debilitating lifetime neurological disorder. This disorder hit suddenly after Covid and (though I have a great work ethic!) I am unfortunately needing to receive long term disability. I need to see a specialist in New York city that might be able to help some of the symptoms of my disorder.

I've spent all my savings on mortgage and bills since September and am out of funds until I get approved for long term disability. I wish FTD was a temporary disorder and that it wasn't so taxing, but I have been told it is lifetime and quite debilitating. I scream, make odd noises and phrases, hit, punch, bit, throw things and sometimes even just fall to the ground. I have bruised and cut myself and those around me, and I'm praying that this new Dr. will help me find a way to shift the more violent tics so I'm not hurting anyone.

These funds will be used to cover medical expenses for the new Dr., pay for past medical expenses, and help me cover mortgage and basic living expenses for the next 6 months.
