Cody's Medical Journey

We're fundraising for the family of our 12 month old nephew Cody's, who has spent all but 2 days of his life in the hospital.

Cody was born in February, at 33 weeks, with a heart defect called TAPVR (Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return, as well as PDA (the opening between the aorta and pulmonary arteries did not close). After a major open heart surgery at 6 weeks old, another open heart surgery more recently, PDA repair, and over 12 months in the hospital, Cody has been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension.

Cody was on the list for a lung transplant, but at this time isn't healthy enough to qualify.

No one thought that this sweet baby, born just after Valentine's Day, would still be in the hospital over a year later. We are so thankful for the excellent care he is getting in Boston, and want to do everything we can to keep his family by his side by lessening the considerable and unexpected financial burden of staying in the city while being reduced to one income.
