Medical Care for Flavia

Hi friends! Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

My name is Flavia, and I have some bad news to share with you. On March 22, 2024 I had a really bad headache at work and fell to the ground and lost my vision.

I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was placed in a medically induced coma. The brain scans showed that I had a ruptured aneurysm with a level 5 bleeding. Since then, I have had many procedures to save my life including drains, a brain catheter and the removal of part of my skull. I have had complications including multiple strokes and spams. I am also fighting infections in my body and brain, including pneumonia.

Despite all of this, I keep fighting hard to make a recovery. I am not able to write this, as I am unconscious in an ICU, Neuro unit in Kendall Hospital, Miami FL.

My family asks for your help as I have a really long journey ahead on the road to my recovery. Thank you for the help, love and support. Blessings!

Mi nombre es Flavia y tengo una mala noticia que compartir con ustedes. El 22 de marzo del 2024, tuve un dolor de cabeza muy fuerte en el trabajo, caí al suelo y perdí la visión.

Me llevaron al hospital en ambulancia y me pusieron en coma inducida. Los escáneres cerebrales mostraron que tenía un aneurisma roto con un sangrado de nivel 5. Desde entonces, me han sometido a muchos procedimientos para salvar mi vida, incluyendo drenajes en mi cerebro, un catéter cerebral y me retiraron la parte frontal superior de mi cráneo.

Como consecuencias de mi aneurisma he tenido múltiples derrames cerebrales y espasmos cerebrales. También estoy luchando contra infecciones en mi cuerpo y cerebro.

A pesar de todo esto, sigo luchando muy duro para recuperarme. En este momento estoy inconsciente en terapia intensiva en una unidad de neurología del Hospital de Kendall. Mi prima escribe en mi nombre.

Mi familia les pide ayuda ya que tengo un largo camino por delante hacia mi recuperación. Gracias por la ayuda, el apoyo y el cariño. Yo seguiré luchando por mi vida! Bendiciones a todos.
