Medical cost for my Mother 2 month hospital stay

My name is Tonia and my 76 year old mother in law from Japan, was hit at 80 km/h, by a speeding truck who was out of control. My mother, Kumiko has spent her whole life looking after others. She has volunteered to helping strangers for the past 46 years. Besides the external injuries, she has broken her wrist and crushed her hand in five places. She will need reconstructive surgery and the doctors said at least two month hospital stay. My Father will be looking after her when she returns home so any help will help him to focus on my mother. In Japan, not all of the medical expenses are covered, family is helping where they can.
