Medical costs for Jackson Luebke

Hello All, Amy Bigelow and myself Michele Bender have created this fund on behalf of Jackson's parents. Jack has had a crazy week. He's a 14 year old hockey player from North Dakota. He was playing on a summer league in St. Paul, Minnesota. Jackson was playing the game he loves, and unfortunately, had an extremely rare hit that has put him in the hospital with multiple surgeries.

Jackson Luebke was injured in a game on Saturday, 7/29/23. He took a knee to his thigh which resulted in ‘Compartment Syndrome’. This can be very dangerous if not operated on to relieve the swelling. Since Saturday, he has had 2 surgeries. The first surgery was to open up his thigh from above his knee to almost his hip. Thankfully he has had no tissue or muscle damage. This wound had to be left open for 3 days. Jack's second surgery was 3 days later the Doctors closed up the ends of this wound and left the middle open. On Jackson's 14th birthday which is today Friday, Aug 4th he's going in for his 3rd and (hopefully) final surgery. At this point, the whole wound will be closed up.

Jackson will have 3 months of PT and we are keeping our fingers crossed that he will heal fully and be ready for this upcoming hockey season.

Jackson and his mom and dad, Jenni and Ryan, have been in St Paul since 7/29/23 and could stay up to 2 weeks.

We are trying to help to soften the costs of medical, travel, food & etc because they are 12 hours from home.
