The Jones/Taylor/Cassell Family is asking for your help to alleviate medical cost & recovery treatment that insurance won’t be able to cover. On the night of June 10th 2020 around 11:30pm, 31 gunshots awoke the block of 68th & Della Cir. 5 of those bullets took the life of Teray Love Jones, an inspired R&B singer from Compton, Ca (His #1 Hit Single On All Music Platforms “Moments”) Teray had so many great projects and unreleased talent that will live on forever through his children, brothers & friends. Mykel is the oldest brother who was also struck with 5 bullets leaving him with a broken hand & bullet fragments left inside his chest, he is still recovering. Mykel is musically talented with his voice & the keyboard. Mykel always kept his family & music close. Unfortunately, Mykel’s son was struck by bullets & has recovered physically. Derek is the youngest brother who was hit once in both lungs as well as the tip of his vertebrae leaving him temporarily paralyzed from his chest down. Derek is a Professional Singer and aspiring Boxer who was on his way to start his Boxing career in Las Vegas, NV. These young men were celebrating their nephew’s birthday on the front lawn of a family dwelling before shots began to go off. This was not gang violence nor was this any type of street beef. As Investigators do their jobs to find the people responsible, the family has incurred multiple challenges for a new beginning. Any and all proceeds are specifically for medical bills/supplies & recovery treatment; there is no set number specified just yet. The family will update as needed to ensure the most accurate information is on record.
