Medical costs for Winnie

Winnie's journey begins on August 26, 2022. At 7am she went to the doctor to get blood work done because she had some unexplained bruising that worried Katelyn(mothers intuition). By noon-Chad, Katelyn, Winnie were on their way to Akron Children's Hospital. There Winnie received the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Winnie had blood transfusions over the weekend to increase her numbers and she far exceeded what was hoped for. She went into surgery Monday morning to get her port put in.

Surgery went well. The port is in place and she had the first round of chemo.

Winnie is so resilient and has taken her first round of chemo well.

Its long road ahead and so much is unknown but we are creating this in hopes to relieve some of the financial stress. She will have two years of chemo which means many trips to the hospital, a lot of time off of work for Katelyn and Chad and endless amounts of medical bills.
