Medical expense support for Kuma

Hi! Kelsey here. I've set up this GoFundMe in support of our family dog, Kuma.

Kuma is a perceptive, gentle, and resilient animal. He loves connecting with people, especially those who need emotional support, and is quick to extend affection and protection to those he meets. For more than a year, our family has been grappling against several severe issues with his right eye, all of which cause him intense pain. With several well-intentioned interventions having failed over the course of this time, we find ourselves faced with this reality: in order for Kuma to have any quality of life, both of his eyes must be removed.

Without this surgery, Kuma would be subjected to a life of ongoing intense pain. However, the total medical expenses for the surgery itself, preparation and post-op care, medicine, and ongoing specialist veternarian care is beyond what my parents and I can put together. We are committed to caring for him the best we can, just as he has cared for us - and so many others - with respect for his quality of life and with reverence for the enormous force of love that he embodies.
