Medical Expenses & Care for Simon Valero

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Nia Valero and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my dad, Simon Valero. It is with great sorrow to say that Simons battle with cancer ended on May 26th 2021.  Simon is 48 years old and lived in Hanford California. He married to his high school sweetheart Maribel and together they share three children, and two beautiful granddaughters, who adore their “Papa Si”. Simon will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and friend- anyone who knew him knew that he had an infectious smile and a heart of gold. He would do absolutely anything for his girls and his work ethic shows that.

In 2019, my dad was diagnosed with cancer, and was a champion fighting every obstacle cancer threw his way. In November of 2019 he went through multiple major surgeries to remove stomach cancer, esophageal cancer and cancer in the small intestine. After recovering from those surgeries, Simon continued to go to work to provide for his wife Maribel and daughter Aniah, (and to also spoil the grandkids). He was in remission in august up until recently. During a minor surgery doctors discovered that the cancer had returned, and was inoperable.
Our dad decided to truly live his best life and made it his goal to enjoy every bit of it. I can only hope to have as much heart and grit as that man possessed.

If you knew Simon, you knew how much his family meant to him. And how dedicated he was to making sure his girls were taken care of. Simon was a true family man and a wonderful example of a provider. It feels like there is a giant hole in all of our hearts, we are missing him so much already.

I have seen a lot of love and support from our  family and friends, even people from afar asking how to help. And the truth is I really have no clue what to say. I wish I could ask someone to change this reality, but I can’t. So the next best thing we can do is to make sure my mom and sister Aniah are taken care of. These funds would be given directly to my mom to help with whatever bills and medical expenses that she may need to cover. The loss of your soulmate is a deeply painful experience, and the last thing we want our mom to worry about are medical expenses.

Please consider donating any amount, and if you are unable to donate financially, please pray for Simon and his family. Thank you for reading.
rest in peace Simon SVThegreat Valero
