Medical Expenses financial expenses for Rocky

Hi, My name is Teresa Cappello. I am the daughter of Rocky Cappello.

I am setting up this GoFundMe page for my father because he is too proud to do it for himself.

I am trying to raise money for his medical expenses for supplies he needs that his insurance does not cover, and financial expenses he has due to the following:

1) He has had 3 heart attacks since August 2021, 1st in August 2021, 2nd in November 2020, and the 3rd in January 2021.

2) He developed fluid on his lung and heart in January 2022, which has put him on Oxygen. He will be on Oxygen for the rest of his life.

3) He is losing his sight due a disese called Diabetic Retinopathy. He get shots into each eye ball every six weeks.

4) He is has kidney failure which has lead to Dialysis 3 times a week. Dialysis last for at least 4 to 5 hours three time a week.

5) He has Diabetes and need the 14day Libre system which insurance does not cover. The initial cost is $150.00 and then $140.00 per month for the censors.

6) Due to dialysis, he is losing the use of his right hand. He is still undergoing test to see if anything can be done for this problem. ( this is the arm in which he has dialysis)

7) He also have financial problems. He has not been able to work since August 2021. He is on Disablity but he needs the extra income from working part-time. He cannot work right now draging around oxgen tanks. (His part-time jobs wer delivery positions)

I am trying to raise money for him because he is not able to work anymore and the insurance company does not pay for certain things he need:

1) A portable oxygenator which will allow him to work partime like he did before August 2020. (cost of this is around $3,500.00)

2) An adjustable bed, he cannot lay flat due to the lack of oxygen when he lays flat. pillows do not work no matter how many pillows he uses. He needs has too sleep sitting up in a chair which is very bad for the circulation for his legs.

3) He now has serious financial needs:

a) He is 2 months behind on his mortgage.

b) He is 2 months behind on his car payment. (He needs the car to get back and forth to dialysis)

c) He is over 3 months behind ov various bills.

My father has always tried to help and I am hoping the you can find it in you heart to help him.
