Medical expenses for Ansil "Tony" Peters

Hello family and friends.

With a heavy heart but an even greater need, I have developed this Gofundme to help our family with the medical expenses for my father, Ansil "Tony" Peters, aka Michael Holding. A nickname our dad was given after the widely regarded greatest pace bowler in cricket history.

On February 17, 2022, our father suffered a massive stroke while at home in Port Of Spain, Trinidad. For several days, the prospects were bleak, but our dad is a fighter! He was released from the hospital and is currently in a nursing home. The stroke left his entire left side immobile, and he is receiving nourishment intravenously. PEG surgery is required, as the feeding tube is causing severe discomfort. Recently, Tony moved his left foot to the shock of the nurses... and us! As a result, we have been advised that in addition to the required surgery procedure, he needs to begin extensive therapy after recovery to encourage stimulation, movement and feeling throughout the rest of the left side of his body.

Up to this point, our family has been covering all costs without medical insurance assistance. And as you are aware, these costs become heavy after some time, particularly for one who needs around-the-clock care. Therefore, we humbly ask for donations to help us give our dad the care he needs to return from this stroke. Any amount you can contribute will be so greatly appreciated.
