Medical Expenses for Ashley Peck

For those who don’t already know, my sister-in-law, Ashley Peck, had a large brain tumor removed on December 13th. The type of tumor she had was an Oligodendroglioma. While she knew about the tumor, it hadn’t caused any problems until November when she had a four minute long grand mal seizure. After having a follow up MRI, the doctor found that it was much larger than they initially thought, and it had to come out ASAP. She and her husband (my brother, Micah) took the doctor’s advice and chose the earliest date available for removal (December 13th). The removal went well, but Ashley spent a week in the hospital and was left with paralysis on her left side. This will require 1-2 months of rehab while she relearns how to use her arm/hand/leg again. While she is thankfully on the road to recovery, we all know how expensive medical procedures can be. I have talked with Ashley and Micah since the surgery, and their out of pocket expenses (surgery, follow-ups, medication, MRIs, rehab, etc.) are much higher than anticipated. Due to the uncertain timeframe of her recovery, Ashley does not know when she will be able to return to work at full capacity. 
I am creating this fund raiser for Micah and Ashley to have one less thing to worry about as she recovers. The goal is set to cover majority of the medical costs. Anything helps, and if you cannot donate please share this. If you know Micah and Ashley, you know that they are extremely independent, and would typically not ask for help, but this happened very suddenly and it all added up quickly.
