Medical Expenses for Axtynn's NICU Stay

On October 17, 2023 at 11:03am sweet baby Axtynn made his way to this world weighing 7lbs and 6ozs and 19in long. He is a gift from God! Unexpectedly little mans oxygen level was too low and he had to be suddenly taken to the nursery for extra care, where he was put on oxygen and a feeding tube was placed. Side note-The feeding tube allows him to get nutrients without losing oxygen like he would if he was sucking on a bottle. A chest x-ray was performed and a tear was found in his left lung. The cause of the tear is unknown, but on October 18, 2023 at 4:00pm a repeat x-ray was performed and the tear was confirmed. Axytnn was transferred to Arkansas Children's Hospital NICU in Little Rock, where he was placed on CPAP. October 19, 2023 at 8:00am little man was thriving and doing so much better and tolerating his oxygen. Noon came and he started having complications, his breathing increased and was very heavy. A new chest x-ray was performed and it showed a pneumothorax. A needle aspiration was performed and they alleviated 14mL of air off his lung. The doctor talked about placing a chest tube, but after another x-ray decided to hold off unless the air pocket increases in size again. Axtynn is looking at 2-3 weeks in the NICU and we all know how expensive this can be. Please keep this family and this sweet baby in your thoughts and prayers! All proceeds will go to Hannah and Corey to pay Axtynn's medical expenses and travel expenses as they are having to travel from Conway to Little Rock multiple times a day.
