Medical Expenses for Borders

To the friends and family of our mother, Leigh Anne Borders

Our mother was recently diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. According to the doctor, it is treatable and curable. She has had several scans, MRIs, X-rays, etc... to get to this point. On November 8, she will get another scan to ensure it has not spread. We ask that you lift her up in prayer and that these are clear.

After that, she will meet with radiation and chemotherapy on November 10. We understand that she will need to have this done for five weeks. Chemo once a week and radiation Monday through Friday. At this time, we believe treatments will begin the week of November 14.

We have no idea what this will look like in terms of medical expenses, so we wanted to set something up so she can pay copays or whatever needs to be paid for. At this time, her medical bills are beginning to accumulate. Our family has never had to do this, so we have no idea what is involved in treating cancer. If you have any ideas or suggestions on what we should be doing, we would love to hear them.

A meal train will be set up and shared once the treatments begin.

If you know our mother, you know she is one of the most generous and sweetest people you will ever meet. She goes above and beyond for others, and now it is time to give back to her.
