With a heavy heart we are so sad to announce that Cruz Antonio Vargas has passed away from an unimaginable battle against Stage 4 pancreatic cancer He was diagnosed a few weeks ago. We are starting this go fund me to help with the upcoming expenses as Cruz did not have any coverage in place at the time of the diagnosis.
In this time of tragedy for the Vargas family, we are asking for your support and generous donations for his expenses and upcoming memorial services. Cruz spent the last few weeks on Hospice in the comfort of his home, we have done our very best to have surrounded him with love and cherished the time we had.
Only a few months ago, Cruz was clearing trees on his property, playing with his grandchildren and felt normal. At 67 years old, he had plans for future, just like all of us do. His absence will leave a void in our lives that cannot be filled. His laughter, enthusiasm, can-do attitude, love, wisdom, conversations, and love of his children and grandchildren has been life changing for all of us. Abuelo's pride in his family was a tangible force and he never missed a birthday or important event. You could always count on him to show up in his truck with his tools and a smile on his face.
If you had the opportunity to know Cruz, please donate in honor of him and leave a comment or story below. This is so difficult for everyone, Cruz was the glue that held everyone together.
