Medical expenses for Deborah Kay. The Big "C"

UPDATE AS OF 4/5/2024.

WE WERE TOLD TODAY THAT MOM HAD A STROKE A COUPLE NIGHTS AGO. SHE HAS BEEN OUT SINCE. THEY HAVE BEEN KEEPING HER OUT COLD WITH MEDS. WE'VE BEEN GETTING MIXED MESSAGES FROM THE DRS. THOSE WHO CAN EVEN GET INFO. I CAN NOT. WE HAVE TO MEET AT HOSPITAL AT 9AM TOMORROW MORNING TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE. NOT TO SURE WHAT TO EXPECT AT THIS POINT.

Hi my name is Kayla Fishel. I am starting this fundraiser for my mother, Debbie. Three weeks ago she was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in both lungs. With that, they found 5 tumors on her spine. After some research found that spinal cancer stems from other cancers. Such as lung cancer. We do know the spine cancer is metastatic. We haven't been able to get a PET scan due to mom being admitted back to hospital numerous times. She had a pick line put in on March 20th to prepare for chemo treatments. Hours later she couldn't feel her legs. She is since then, admitted back to the hospital and we have been told she is paralyzed from the waist down. The cancer has spread to her liver. She's retaining fluid but wasn't able to relieve herself of it.

In three weeks, we have racked up some medical bills. And we are not typically the type of people to ask for help, but right now we are desperate. My mom has 3 kids of her own and 6 grand babies. A husband. Her mom, my grandma. Lots of family. And truthfully, mom and I never had a great relationship, but this woman gave me life, and I will do whatever I can to try to give her more time and to help her get through this. As comfortably as possible. So I am reaching out and asking for help in our family's time of need. I know everyone has financial struggles unfortunately, but if anyone could help us in any way, it would be greatly greatly appreciated. More than anyone would know.

The funds will be used to cover any and all medical expenses and any other expenses if need be( I don't want to say it, but funeral expenses.)

UPDATE

Once they relieved mom's bladder, she was able to move a leg. Yay!!! She is still bed bound and still in the hospital. She told me this morning(3/25/24), that they are planning to start chemo tomorrow.
