Medical Expenses for Donald "Don" Burnash
Donation protected
Donald “Don” Burnash suffered a massive stroke on Thursday, April 1st, 2021 while in Cat Spring, Texas in southern Austin County. A neighbor found him after being down for four hours and was rushed to the hospital. He eventually was life-flighted to Memorial Hermann in Memorial City. He is in stable condition with his wife Shelly Richardson by his side.
Don and his loving wife Shelly are longtime residents of Bonham Acres in Southwest Houston and longtime business owners in the Gulfton neighborhood. Don and Shelly are active members of the community in Southwest Houston and Cat Spring, Texas with many years of supporting the Houston Police Department. Through their efforts, they established the Gulfton Citizens Advisory Council, a local non-profit focused on relational policing and maintaining operations for the Gulfton HPD Storefront. Don and Shelly contribute financially to the storefront and participate every year in the Gulfton Parade & Festival showcasing their motorcycles and tractors.
Don served as a firefighter in NY in his younger years and is currently a firefighter in Cat Spring, Texas. He is a go-getter and an incredible automotive technician and fabricator. There was nothing he could not do! In the early ’90s, Don and Shelly dragged raced from Baytown, Navasota, Ennis, Oklahoma, and NHRA and were invited to Monterey, Mexico, and WON that race.
We have faith Don will recover and we ask you to keep him and Shelly in your prayers during this difficult time. He is not in the clear yet and will have medical expenses his insurance will not cover. We ask for your support through a financial contribution to help with his medical expenses.
Don and Shelly have gone out of their way to help our community and families in need, today they need you. We appreciate your prayers and support.
