Medical-Funeral Expenses for Gage Mick

Gage Mick (my nephew) was a fun loving 18-year-old. He was an active teenager with a love for cars, just like his dad and brothers. He also loved pulling pranks on his friends and family. Everyone loved Gage!! He had a grin and smile that made you happy just to be around him. Gage was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 10. Diabetes did not slow him down; he would pretend often that he didn't have it and lived life to the fullest each day!

Gage passed away on Friday 9/10/21 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Gage had been sick for weeks and was misdiagnosed several times while he was in the ICU in Overland Park. He was finally transferred to University Hospital in Columbia, MO where the family learned he had contracted a very rare lung infection that only effects diabetics when they are in DKA. His wonderful medical team did everything possible to save him but with the fast progression of this rare infection were unable to. This is not Covid or Covid related. His mom, dad and brothers were with Gage when he went to be with God.

Please Pray for Gage's family as they are heart broken and trying to find the strength to deal with losing him in such a horrible way.
