Medical Expenses for Jerry Chapman

Hello, my name is Vicki Miles. I am creating a GoFundMe account for our friend and neighbor Jerry Chapman. As you may know, Jerry is in a clinical trial for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma - mantle cell, CAR-T replacement. The cancer has been eradicated from Jerry's body but he is not producing blood and/or platelets. This results in Jerry's need to have infusions every other day at this time. The doctors recommend that he begin taking Eltrombopag to improve this situation. The cost is outrageous at $3000 per month, to be taken indefinitely. This cost plus copays and out-of-pocket expenses has prompted me to set up this GoFundMe account.

UPDATE 08.08.2023

There has been some great improvement in a short time. We're praying it continues. Last Friday at Jerry's Clinic appointment and Yesterday, Monday, his tests showed that he is actually starting to make Blood products that he so desperately needs. He hasn't had an infusion since last Wednesday. If he makes it through the remainder of this week's appointments the same way, there is a possibility he will be home in Eugene next week. At this time, he is not needing the expensive medicaton previously recommended but, the medical expenses are still mounting. Thank you all for being so generous in your donations, let's not stop now!
