Medical Expenses for John Stanley

Beth and I are requesting help from our friends and network of relationships for a dear friend who has suffered a debilitating stroke and will be engaged in a long term recovery. Medical expenses have overwhelmed them and we need your help to enable them to weather this event and get John back on his feet God willing!

John and his wife Heather have been dear friends for many years, living with us for a period time in Wimberley. They are 'people of the land' having supported themselves as organic farmers for many years.

Prior to organic farming, John was the pastor of Chapel in the Hills church in Wimberley, Texas where Heather also worked. Heather also served many years at John Knox Ranch Presbyterian Camp. Both of them deeply loved by this community.

Just after John turned 65 and received medical insurance (Medicare) for the first time in decades, he suffered a serious stroke that has immobilized his left side. He is stable, but now requiring months of thereputic interventions to restore his capacities as fully as his body will allow. This will be a months or years long recovery process. Medicare is only covering a portion of the cost.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 from our network of friends and family members to cover these medical expenses. If you can help, even just a few dollars, they will be blessed by your generosity.
