Medical Expenses for Jordan Gause

Hi, my name is Kayla and this fundraiser is for my other half, Jordan Michael Gause. Jordan is 33 years old and is a widowed father of two wonderful, sweet loving kids. Several weeks ago Jordan was in severe pain, almost unbearable. They found a tumor in his neck which is on the top of his spinal cord and pressing on his brain stem. It is a bilateral tumor and is growing on both sides of the bone. The tumor is inoperable due to the risk of becoming paralyzed.

Fast forward til now; He is on his fourth week of radiation and has 11 more treatments to go. It’s been very tough on his throat to where he had not been able to eat for 2 and a half weeks and it burned so bad he could barely swallow water from it being so raw. He has lost 42 pounds in the last 3 weeks. Due to not being able to eat or drink because of the pain, he was admitted to the hospital on Monday and was diagnosed with acute Kidney injury from being very dehydrated. They have been monitoring his heart and placed him on oxygen. On Wednesday, in order for his body to receive nutrients they placed him under anesthesia and put in a PEG feeding tube that he will have for approximately two months. He received his first "meal" last night. He still has a long road ahead and is getting stronger every day.
