Medical expenses for Justin Howell
Donation protected
Our friend, Justin Howell, was the victim of a senseless shooting resulting in a lifeline flight to Methodist and emergency surgery to repair the bones in his leg. As a self-employed contractor Justin depends on his mobility to provide services for his customers and income for his family. This shooting has resulted in Justin receiving a rod in his leg from his ancle to his knee and multiple screws through what remained of his leg bones. The doctors told him the recovery will be slow, painful, and last six to eight months if not longer. Further complicating this recovery Justin and Laura are the parents of an adorable, energetic, soon to be two year old child that they need to take care of while Justin is trying to recover. The money raised will help with the medical bills and lost wages resulting from the shooting. Justin is the friend that has always shown up and will always show up to help all of us in our time of need and this is our opportunity to help him when he needs it most.
Edit: Go fund me does a great job protecting donors and recipients and want some other details to be included in this story. I have been a close friend of Justin since grade school, we were roommates for a few years after high school at the prestigious HWY 45 house, and have been thru a full life of adventures together since then. We have set up a trust for these funds to be deposited into with Justin, Laura, and Harold as the beneficiaries. This will allow us to provide monthly payments to them in place of Justin's lost wages while he is recuperating. The funds can also be used for medical bills and other expenses related to this incident. Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared this story. Your support has been amazing.
