Medical Expenses for Kai Marie Stefinsky
Donation protected
As many of you know, Greg and Mandy were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Kai Marie Stefinsky on June 3rd, 2019. Big brother Coy was smitten and Mom and Dad couldn’t have been more in love with baby Kai. Upon further examination, Kai was diagnosed with a Ventricular Septal Defect and Double Right Ventricle Outlet along with other congenital heart defects that are leading to low oxygen levels and potential heart failure.
Kai had her first open heart surgery at 8 weeks, on July 31st, 2019. They placed a shunt in her heart to allow her oxygen levels to maintain at a healthy level so she may grow and become stronger to prepare for her second surgery that should take place in the next 6-12 months. They also removed an mitral ring to allow for blood flow to the left ventricle and installed a artificial wall to channel blood into the atrium. Her body did not respond well to surgery so they left her open in the event quick responses were needed. Future surgeries will include removing shunt and building another VSD wall in her heart. Care needed may include in home daycare services and frequent visits to cardiologist and physical therapists.
Any donation you would like to give to The Stefinsky’s to help defray any of the medical costs would be greatly appreciated. The power of prayer is incredible and we ask that you please become prayer warriors for this sweet baby girl and her family. God’s love is evident and strong. Thank you for helping baby Kai Marie #KaiStrong
