Medical Expenses for Marvin

Hi, my name is Holly and I am fundraising for my dad Marvin Sebeck.

My Dad was recently diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Merkel cell carcinoma tends to grow fast and to spread quickly to other parts of your body. MCC tends to travel first to nearby lymph nodes. Later it may spread to your brain, bones, liver or lungs, where it can interfere with the functioning of these organs. Cancer that has metastasized is more difficult to treat and can be fatal.

Unfortunately, the biopsy he had done showed that the cancer has spread further than the sample taken. He will be undergoing surgery soon to better understand what stage it is at.

My parents will be spending a lot of time traveling from Escanaba to his Doctor in Green Bay. He was also told he will be receiving 5 weeks of daily radiation treatments that will be done in Marquette.

The funds will be used for medical, travel, and lodging for these appointments as well as living expenses for any lost wages that will occur during treatment. Those of you that know my father will know that he is a very humble man that would never ask anyone for help, so I am asking for him. I want him to focus on his health rather than the financial strain that will come of this diagnosis.
