Medical expenses for MaryBeth

Hi, My name is Nicole Ellinger. This fundraiser is for my beautiful mother, MaryBeth Mooney who on September 8th, 2022, suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and subarachnoid hemorrhage. All donations will be transferred to Kieron Mooney, my mother's loving husband, as he navigates through this tragic incident. Your gifts will directly support her medical expenses, as well as the cost of travel and care incurred by her direct family members.

While on the beach the morning of 9/8 MaryBeth was found in extreme distress by a passerby. They quickly called 911 and my mother was transported by ambulance to the local hospital. From there the medical teams assessed the situation and confirmed she had suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. She was immediately medevacked to the Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience in Philadelphia, PA.

As the neurosurgeon explained the severity of the situation she provided a 90% chance that MaryBeth would make it out of the hospital. Our family held tight for 48 hours as my mother battled complications from organ failure before she was stable enough to undergo brain surgery. Miraculously the brain surgery was successful, the bleed was stopped.

The severity of the situation has kept her in the ICU for multiple weeks. This event has been extraordinarily emotionally taxing on my family and will continue to bring forth heavy financial responsibility as she finds her way back to us.
