Medical Expenses For Matthew Hubbard

Hi my name is Roy, and I'm fundraising for medical expenses for Matthew Hubbard. This past week it was discovered that Matt had an intestinal abscess that had developed to cause significant other health issues rising to the level of a medical emergency that required surgery this weekend. While information from Matt's wife Amy indicates that his prognosis is good, she also let us know that the issues caused by the abscess as well as recovery from the surgery will mean many months of recovery for Matt. At the last update, he was still in post-op recovery suffering from quite a bit of pain.

Matt is a father to three rambunctious boys whom he shares with his wife Amy. This emergency is hitting them at a particularly stressful time as Amy is expecting their 4th boy soon. Matt is a dedicated worker and has worked diligently to provide for his growing family. While Matt and Amy do have health insurance, Matt is the main income earner but with a prolonged recovery ahead of them, it is uncertain how long he may not be able to work. Additionally, Amy tells me that Matt will need in-home care assistance and ongoing medical supplies. Even after Matt is recovered they are likely to have depleted any savings they had, and on the heels of becoming well, Amy will be planning to deliver their new baby.

I know the details I have shared here are limited and may not seem like an emergency to some, but as someone who has been surprised by health complications in the past, I can testify that it is an emergency for Matt, Amy, and their family. When all your planning and hoping for the future is turned upside down, it is a true blessing to be able to meet some basic needs while you right yourself.
