Medical expenses for our 2022 Miss Bath County

When I became part of the Bath Co. community, I quickly learned that your “family” extended immensely farther than what you believed it to. The entire community of Bath Co. is family. The people of Bath Co. have experienced some of the most joyous occasions and breathtaking tragedies alike. But one thing is for sure, we stand together.

John Brashear, Shannon, their 4 boys, daughter and son’s girlfriend headed out a week ago for a long awaited and much anticipated family vacation. A time they had all been so excited to share together suddenly turned to a time of fear and turmoil when Mallory, their daughter fainted while shopping. Upon impact, things seemed bleak. There was a fracture to her skull behind her ear, substantial bleeding and disorientation. A trip to the ER resulted in a transfer to a trauma center where things were up in the air for a bit. Mallory’s mother Stacy and her husband DJ were also up in the air at that time, barely making an almost full non-stop flight to Florida.

At this time, Mallory is healing, still suffering from hearing loss in the affected ear and facial impairment. All signs point at a full recovery in time. We are all prayerful and hopeful of this.

Mallory was our 2022 Miss Bath County and did a remarkable job representing our community, she is also a student at UK doing phenomenal with her studies. Her parents John and Shannon, Stacy and DJ, are all well loved and humble members of our community as well as all of her brothers.

There will be medical bills resulting from the swift and substantial medical care Mallory received out of state, the costs of the unplanned flights and the numerous appointments that are to come, all unforeseen expenses. We wanted to create this Gofundme to help offset some of the financial burden this family will bear due to the events that took place.
