Medical Expenses for Scott Bailey
Donation protected
As many of you may have already heard, our beloved classmate Kimberly Bailey received the news that no-one is ever prepared for. On Saturday 5/5, her husband, Scott Bailey, was the victim of a hit and run while riding his bicycle. Thankfully, a passerby saw him lying unconscious on the side of the road and called 911. Scott was airlifted to Mission Hospital where he remains on the Trauma Care Unit.
Scott suffered multiple broken ribs, a pulmonary contusion, a grade 2 liver laceration, a concussion, and lots of bruising and road rash. We were informed that had Scott not been wearing his helmet, it is likely the accident would have fatal.
All things considered, Scott is incredibly lucky and is recovering well. We are asking for any support to help get this wonderful family through this tough time. Kimberly will be graduating from nursing school this week and is working to juggle preparing for her finals and making the hour and a half trip to Asheville to care for her husband.
