First and foremost, we’d like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. As some of you may know, Shinna was recently struck by a drunk driver just outside of her home.
It is an immense blessing that Shinna has survived this, but now our family must move forward with the challenges of this life-changing event. There is a long journey ahead with her recovery and medical expenses.
As of now, she has undergone amputation of both legs as well as a hip replacement; rehabilitation will be ongoing for the foreseeable future. Her doctors expect additional surgeries and long-term physical therapy to regain mobility and independence with the use of her prosthetic legs.
This has been an extremely difficult time, not only for Shinna but for her two sons and two daughters. Shinna is the sole provider of her family as all her children are between the ages of 12 to 18.
Despite these hard times, Shinna remains strong-spirited and looks forward to getting better and being reunited with her family.
Your donations will be a huge blessing. We appreciate and thank you for your prayers, shares, words of encouragement, and donations.
