Medical Expenses for Suzie Launius

On 1/11/2017 Suzie was carried to the ER at OCMC in Camden, AR. After an exam by the OBGYN, it was his opinion that she was looking at cervical cancer, but would need further diagnosis from UAMS in Little Rock to gather more data.

The initial visit with oncologist at UAMS confirmed she has cervical adenocarcinoma and there was an estimate stage given but I am not releasing that information right now as she is still undergoing tests. According to the oncologist the mass is about 10cm and pushing on her bladder and rectum.

As of right now she is looking at 6-8 weeks of *daily* radiation and Cisplatin chemotherapy once per week though this can change either way depending on some additional screening she will be going through this week.

Suzie has worked for many years in Camden and the surrounding area to raise her 3 children and currently is self-employed and without medical insurance.  At the time of this writing it is estimated that she qualifies for Medicaid, but the approval has not come in yet.

We are asking for any help for her to cover any expenses that will come up such as fuel/transportation, food, lodging, medications not covered by medicaid, etc. This would also help offset some cost with things to give her a better quality of life, like phone cards.

A week ago we all had different plans, none of which included a trip to the ER, UAMS, or cancer. Anything you can spare is much needed and appreciated by all of her family.
