Tabitha Flores with Medical Expenses

May 5, 2019 was a seemingly normal day for our dear friend Tabitha. She had been having some aches and pains that she thought was her arthritis acting up so decided to see her doctor to make sure everything was normal. Initial bloodwork revealed she was possibly fighting an infection. However, after more tests and consultation with a hematologist, our worst fears were confirmed. Tabitha was not suffering the normal symptoms of arthritis, rather she was given the terrifying diagnosis of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
After learning the shocking news at just 37 years old, Tabitha is determined to fight cancer and do whatever it takes to survive. Doctors recommend she undergo 8 months of chemotherapy.
Fortunately, Tabitha has insurance that will help as she undergoes treatments at MD Anderson. However, she will have to take a leave of absence from her position as Associate Principal Secretary at Klein Cain High School while she receives treatment three times a week.

Tabitha is a single mother of two beautiful girls Megan (17) and Adri (7). Megan will be graduating this year from high school and helps take care of her mom as well as Adri.
Now, in addition to the stress of cancer and the aggressive treatments needed to heal her body, Tabitha worries about how she can raise her two girls with no income for the next 8 months.
Never one to ask for help, this selfless woman, who works diligently to help students and staff alike at Klein Cain High, finds herself in trying times. How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment to help our friend in need.
