I (Nicole) with the help of Taryn's family want to help and support her through this recovery time.
Taryn’s family lost their health insurance last year after her husband Tim -who has multiple health compromises- had to find a less strenuous job. On Labor Day, Taryn fell ill and was diagnosed positive for Covid-19. With no medical insurance - after two emergency room visits - she was admitted to the hospital. She spent 21 days hospitalized with 17 of those spent in ICU. Taryn’s medical bills will be astronomical. They do not qualify for Medicaid - because their income is considered too high for that assistance. Taryn was finally released to go home - on oxygen - on October 5th. She needs constant care and has many medical needs. Without insurance or any emergency medical assistance available - the family has reached out to friends - who have pitched in to borrow medical equipment she needs to recover at home. However, there are several things she needs (including oxygen) that she will need financial assistance with. She can not return to work any time soon and we would like to help ease some of the financial stress this horrible illness has created for her and her family.
