Meet Mark
Mark is quick witted and hysterically funny. He is a loyal friend. Call on Mark and he would do anything for you. Mark is crazy in love with his wife Lisa and their two adopted kids, Maria (8) and Jake (6).
TODAY, September 10, 2020
Mark is in the hospital with stage 5 renal failure. His kidneys are functioning at 13% which means they cannot remove toxins from his body like normal kidneys do. It's time to find Mark a kidney. It usually takes five years to find a kidney donor, but Mark won't survive that long. PRAY THEY FIND A LIVE KIDNEY DONOR.
The PROBLEM is Mark has been in and out of the hospital four times since June and the bills are adding up. Without Mark working, the family is relying on Lisa's income as a school teacher. Her income does not even pay their monthly bills. They need to raise money to pay their deductible.
Mark and Lisa are overwhelmed. They invite you to join them on Mark's journey and give what you can. Look for updates from Lisa as well. Please SHARE Mark's story with your friends and pray they find a live donor soon.
Mark is a big kid and loves operating large equipment.
Meet Lisa
Lisa is a school teacher (yeah!) and is currently teaching in the classroom during this Covid season. Life is busy as she wears many hats. Lisa and the kids cannot visit Mark often because of Covid risk. This is an emotional time, tensions high as she watches Mark’s health decline. Bills are piling up. A woman of faith, Lisa holds hope that God has future plans for Mark and will bring a donor soon. Lisa will be adding updates to this page as they come.
This Isn't Mark's First Rodeo
The Rosenberger’s have been here before. Nine years ago Mark turned septic after contracting an infection when his gallbladder was removed. His liver and kidneys failed and Lisa was told by six doctors Mark wouldn’t make it. In prayer, Mark and Lisa waited. Remarkably, Mark’s kidneys resumed a 50% function and he was told he wouldn’t need a transplant for about ten years. With this news, they prayed and waited for a liver donor.
Mark received his first liver, which didn’t go well. The liver began clotting and Mark was placed on life support and given 72 hours to find another liver. Again, he and Lisa prayed and waited. He received his second liver and this time it stuck. Mark made a long but wonderful recovery. Mark always says, "God had other plans for me".
GOTCHA DAY
Indeed, God did have other plans for Mark: A FAMILY.
Maria's Gotcha Day (day she was adopted)
Jake's Gotcha Day
