Medical expenses for the Shreve family

I am raising funds for Joyce as her family faces yet another tragedy.
Joyce’s story is one of triumph through tragedy after tragedy. It is one of never giving up and always going the extra mile. Joyce has been a caregiver to multiple family members throughout the last 32 years, from her mother suffering from diabetes and heart disease to her teenage daughter having pulmonary embolism and lupus, to her grandson who has autism to her brother battling Melanoma. As I type this, her brother, Ricky, is dying from his cancer at 56 years of age.
Joyce and Ricky were always close. They grew up in the country and everywhere Ricky went, Joyce went too. She was his shadow despite him constantly picking on her. (She said she didn't like it but she loved the attention.) One day, Joyce was following Ricky around as usual and stepped right in the very spot Ricky was moving a concrete block to at the exact time he was dropping it. It fell on her right big toe but that didn’t stop her from being his shadow though. She missed him terribly when he graduated high school and moved out of state to attend basic training briefly.. As they grew up they remained close and when either of them needed each other they were always there. This is why Ricky lives with Joyce, her husband, and her grandson. He needed a place to live and get back on his feet so Joyce opened her home to her brother. Ricky is the last family member Joyce has from her immediate family. Joyce and Ricky just lost their oldest sister, Sharon Byrer, on August 16th and now she is losing her brother. At 47 years old she has suffered more loss than anyone should.
Joyce hasn't been able to work much in the last several years because she has been taking care of her seven-year-old autistic grandson. The medical bills and Ricky's final expenses are weighing heavily on her and her husband. Will you help give a little joy to Joyce? Being able to cover her brother’s medical and final expenses would lift a lot of weight off of her shoulders. If there is any funds left over after covering her brother’s medical and final expenses it would help with the cost of cleaning out and refurbishing the area of the home her brother resides in. She really wants to make this a nice space for her seven year old autistic grandson in hopes of finding some joy and peace with losing her brother.
I am humbly asking on Joyce’s behalf to please find it in your heart if you are able to support my friend and her family during a difficult time. Please share with as many friends as possible. Any amount of support would be appreciated by our family.
Your continued love & prayers are appreciated more than we can ever express. Thank you so much!
