Medical Expenses for the Treadway Family

My name is Lara Lewis and I am setting up this gofundme for one of the most selfless, caring, generous, and thoughtful people I know, Tausha Treadway, and her husband Todd, as he is in the ICU in Little Rock and has a long road ahead.
As many of you may know, Todd has been battling on-going health issues, with a total of 4 surgeries in the last 2 months. They are so thankful for all of the prayers, calls, texts, check-ins, visitors, snacks, and helpers, and I would love to bless them financially since Todd will be out of work for a number of weeks and Tausha will be with him throughout his recovery!
On May 17th, Tausha took Todd to the walk-in clinic thinking he possibly had pneumonia due to a lot of pain and difficulty breathing. The doctor ruled out pneumonia and after many tests and x-rays, Todd was sent to the ER for further testing. The hospital discovered that he had a large mass in one of his lungs and that he had a hiatal hernia that was up in his chest wall, putting pressure on his lungs, making it difficult to breathe. They also found that his gallbladder was enlarged. The doctors decided to remove his gallbladder to alleviate his intense pain and then later send him to a specialist to repair his hernia and also to the oncologist to further test the mass and figure out a plan for removal.
After his gallbladder removal, Todd was feeling much better and after a short stay at the hospital, he was released to go home. Not long after arriving home, he began having intense pain once again. They rushed back to the ER and he was admitted for further testing. Days went by with no answers for his pain. The doctors decided their only option was to do a second, exploratory surgery to see what they could find. They found that his liver had been nicked during surgery and that bile was leaking into his abdomen causing his intense pain. They repaired the tear and Todd was finally feeling much better.
Over the next few months, Tausha and Todd went to a number of appointments to derive a plan for his hernia repair as well as a plan for removing the mass in his lung. They were referred to UAMS in Little Rock where the same surgeon would do the hernia surgery and would remove the mass at the same time, hoping to shorten his recovery time. They said it would be a difficult recovery, but they had no idea what exactly was in store for him.
They arrived in Little Rock earlier this week, and his third surgery was bright and early Thursday morning. The surgery was expected to take about 6 hours. After it was complete, the doctors spoke with Tausha and their family and said they were able to remove the mass completely but had their work cut out for them with the hernia. They said the surgery went well, but said it was the worst hernia they had ever repaired. He was stable and doing well after such a tough surgery, but they would be monitoring him closely.
Friday morning, Todd's health began to decline yet again. They discovered he was retaining a lot of excess fluid, which caused his "healthy" lung to collapse. They were praying it would resolve itself, but with no luck, they had to take him back into the operating room for his fourth surgery. They expected this surgery to last only an hour or two, but it turned into a 6 hour surgery. They discovered that his stomach had moved back up into his chest wall. He had a tear in his stomach and also one on his esophagus. They were able to repair both tears and then put him on a ventilator to give his lungs time to heal. He was then moved into the ICU.
Today (Sunday) has been better. He still has 5 tubes coming out of his chest and is on the ventilator, but he is alert and appears to be aware of those in his room, and has even been writing notes asking questions and communicating. They have attempted to remove the ventilator two times today, but his body just isn't ready, so they will try again tomorrow. Once they can get him breathing well on his own, he will be moved out of the ICU but still has a VERY long recovery ahead. Initially they were hoping to come home on Tuesday (August 1st) but they were told it could be as long as 2 weeks (or more) depending on how the next few days go.
Please continue to pray for his recovery, specifically for his lungs to be strong enough to breathe on his own so they can remove the ventilator. Please also pray for no more setbacks, and for sweet Tausha, as she is staying with him in Little Rock until he is released to come home and has been extremely worried about him! Todd will be out of work for 6 weeks, possibly more, and will not be paid during his recovery. They will need funds to help cover medical costs as well as meals and other expenses while staying in Little Rock. Thank you so much for helping them in so many ways!
